  • Comprehensive Hearing Evaluations

The standard audiometric test battery includes air, bone and speech testing. Special tests may also include tympanometry, tone decay or short increment sensitivity index testing. With appropriate modifications, these tests may be effectively administered to infants, children and adults. The information obtained allows the audiologist to determine the presence or absence of hearing loss, the type of hearing loss, the most appropriate referral path, and/or the extent to which hearing aid use may be beneficial.

    Per New York State law
